DC Statehood PAC Launches

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Washington DC, 18 March 2022 -

DC Statehood PAC is a new federally-registered hybrid PAC advocating for a single goal: Advocating for statehood for Washington, DC.

The PAC exists to start the first truly national conversation about DC Statehood. Americans of all walks of life and political persuasion must understand that 700,000 of tax-paying American citizens live in Washington DC - a majority minority city - yet do not have a Congressional representative with full, equal voting rights.

It is a moral outrage.

But don’t take our word for it. As former VP Mike Pence said in 2007 when he was a Member of Congress from Indiana:

“The fact that more than half a million Americans live in the District of Columbia and are denied a single voting representative in Congress is clearly a historic wrong, and justice demands that it be addressed...”

We’ll achieve DC Statehood in the best way we know how: Using a combination of earned and paid media to spread our message, engaging American citizens across the country and asking them to support our cause.
